Founded in 1921, Kaneyoshi is a fourth-generation soy sauce brewery in the countryside of Fukuoka. "Tachibana" Ponzu is an additive and sugar-free blend of two-year aged soy sauce, yuzu and haruka citrus juices, and rice vinegar. The natural sweetness is balanced by mild citrus acidity, bringing a fresh flavor to fried foods, grilled fish, carpaccio, or salad.

The soy sauce base is a naturally brewed, two-year–aged koikuchi nama-age soy sauce made exclusively with Fukuyutaka soybeans from Kumamoto Prefecture and Chikugoizumi wheat from Kumamoto Prefecture (both grown without pesticides during the cultivation period), along with sun-dried salt from Australia.

What's Special

No sugar is added to this ponzu. Instead, Kaneyoshi generously use citrus juice, allowing its natural sweetness to shine.

The yuzu juice is sourced from Oita Prefecture (grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers during cultivation), and the organic Haruka citrus juice comes from Ehime Prefecture. Kaneyoshi usees organic pure rice vinegar produced by Shōbun Vinegar in Fukuoka Prefecture.

To further enhance the bright, refreshing fragrance of yuzu juice, we use a plant-based dashi made from Rausu kombu from Hokkaido and dried shiitake mushrooms from Kyushu.

Serving and Use

This ponzu is perfect for hot pot dishes such as mizutaki, chilled noodles, fried foods, grilled fish, carpaccio, light and gently simmered dishes, nanbanzuke, gyoza, and more.

As this product contains an abundance of real fruit juice, natural fruit solids may settle, and aromatic oils may rise to the surface. These are signs of quality and flavor. Please shake well before use.

Refrigerate after opening.
